FUNDRAISING EVENTS

Over the years, the Lead Library Endowment Board has hosted different events in the community to raise funds for the library. From something as simple, and delicious as a pie sale during Lead Live, to a full-blown fancy fundraiser with wine, chocolate and silent auctions, the community comes together to support us!

Cinco de Mayo

Amazing food from south of the border, in the beautiful Black Hills. This coupled with a salsa contest (complete with awards) and homemade Sangria – with a secret ingredient, makes for a delicious community event.

Wine, Chocolate & Auction

Wine, Chubby Chipmunk Truffles and Silent Auction round out this event. Usually held every other spring, this fundraiser raises thousands of dollars to support our library. Auction items are donated from members of our community and range from art to services and gift certificates – and everything in between.

Let them eat PIE

Pie and libraries go hand-in-hand, right? We think so. We have an amazing bunch of volunteers who bake the best pies and donate them for us to sell. We have been known to sell slices at Lead Live in the park, Pi Day at the Sanford Lab Homestake Visitor Center on March 14 and whole pies for Thanksgiving at the library.
